Grade 2 Listed building needing a new lease of life.
When Qualis began this project, the property had been neglected for a number of years, with a leaking roof and collapsing floors, an in-depth renovation was desperately needed.
Working with the Client, and the local planning authority to ensure compliance with the historical requirements of working on a listed property, Qualis secured the structure of the property, whilst maintaining as many original features as possible and improving the usability of the space by remodelling the ground floor layout.
Works included:
- Removing the existing roof structure, re-building it, and replacing the cover like-for-like.
- Removing and replacing sections of internal flooring like-for-like.
- Replacing sections of structural framework.
- Replacing and rebuilding sections of masonry and brickwork.
- Re-rendering where required.
- Replacing a rear-facing flat roof and installing a roof light.
- Replacing external doors and windows which were beyond saving.
- Restoring original window frames and decoration where possible.
- Full property re-plumb and re-wire.
- Installation of insulation to comply with local regulations.
- Internal plastering throughout.
- Fully fitted kitchen and bathrooms including ground-floor WC.
- New floor coverings.
- External landscaping including hot tub and BBQ area.
